Perfect Silhouette

Kelly Rowland and her immaculate skin looked like a million bucks in this sexy, astounding one-sleeve gown at the BET Honors. The "Motivation" author certainly used that split to its ability, exhibiting that toned thigh action. Simultaneously, flaunted those daring, royal blue pointy-toed heels. Another one for the books from this child of Destiny.

First, I thought an earthquake thumping New Jersey was standoffish, as well as Blondie pulling off a frontrunner. Clearly, my imagination needs mounting! Despite, my loathe for her tart choice of a wardrobe, it would be in my worst interest to not apply credit where doable. Having said: That. Dress. Is. BAD! This Versus color block striped ensemble doesn't miss a beat. Siding with Christian Louboutins for your shoe selection as Keri Hilson did, is always fine. I admit her pen fixture as a songwriter is fairly impressive and music has a slight catalogue on my iPod, but will never praise her artistry.
She couldn’t tell me the sky was blue.

Feast Your Eyes on the Feast

Being that I'm a permanent Floridian, I have the luxury of enjoying that good ole`homecook meal from my mother on a regular basis, again. I gave a personal request on what foods to grill such as hot dogs, burgers, tilipa, and more on this beautiful sunny day here in Wellington, Florida. The perfect way to a man's heart is through his stomach
Thanks Mom!

Did Someone Call The Fashion Police?

Michelle Williams who earned a Golden Globe for her stellar performance in "My Week with Marliyn" paired a cute vintage Fred Leighton headpiece with her pixie cut she revealed her late beau, Heath Ledger loved for her to sport. Meanwhile, she dazzled in a Jason Wu gown. Congrats Michelle!

Angelina Jolie looked FAB in Atelier Versace. The flapped panel of the gown were bold, edgy and topped it with that sexy slit. Also, congrats to the actress on her nomination for directing "Land Of Blood And Honey".
Charlize Theron was definitely my favorite of the night. She look glamorous in Vintage Christian Dior styled with Givenchy open-toed ankle sandals and shinning headband to fulfill the 1930s look.

Proponent of "O"

It baffles me the nerve of people’s intentions of tainting someone, an intellectual-Harvard scholar who accomplished more for this country than other individual ever in office. The 44Th and current president of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama II, had proposed key promises and did not defy them. For starters, he projected an expansion of health care insurance and come March of 2010, the bill was passed. His triumph didn't bring down the curtain yet. Later, he proclaimed the war in Iraq and Afghanistan come to a sunset. In result, troops revert home in time for the holidays.
The Gulf of Mexico experienced some turmoil when an eruption demolished the offshore drilling rig. Obama took action by introducing safety standards and becoming more active of reshaping this area to a solid foundation.
When the Honolulu native broadcasted the death of Osama Bin Laden on May of last year, America was more than enthused. Ecstatic celebrations cropped up outside the White House and crowds congregated in the streets of the New York, Times Square and Ground Zero where the terrible calamity of 9/11 smoked. DNA testing heralded the body and surely exempt the menace corpse to sea.
Although, the unemployment rates stands at a summit, Obama has not reached an impasse. Nevertheless, given time he will find middle grounds breaking the deadlocks.
So, when asked who would make a better candidate to guide this country… Romney? Gingrich? Santorum? I’d pronounce Obama sustain his slot another four consecutive years. His rivals running have zilch to offer to the table and ideas will fold under pressure. Unsuccessfully, they challenge to sweep up dirt on the president, when in retrospect have more filth deeper than a cadaver 6 feet under! May the best man win, “O” that is!
THAT'S MY PRESIDENT!!!!
Why would he leave us with a cliffhanger ?!

Remembering A Legend, Resting In Paradise.

Over the weekend, 73-year old rhythm and blues icon Etta James passed away from complications of leukemia in Riverdale, CA. She struggled with dementia and other health issues that kept her from taking the stage for the last couple years. Born Jamesetta Hawkins in Los Angeles, but held the stage name of Miss Peaches (as the Matriarch of R&B). Etta leaves to mourn her husband of 42 years and two sons.

Known for her great range, it enables her to tackle all categories of genres including jazz, blues, rock and roll, R&B aligned with her repertoire of Grammys, star on Hollywood Blvd, entering the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and ability to play the guitar. She accompanied Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry and other leading acts once signed to Chess Records.
James coined the vocal performance of  her signature song "At Last". May God rest her soul!

"People that can't stand to listen to the blues, they've got to be phonies."- E.J.

Being "Snubbed"...

It is far-fetched that African-Americans receive the proper acclaim for their astounding performances come time for award season. So, when it is acknowledged I feel elated, not that other actors of different ethnicity's are not deserving of the honor, it's just actors of color are occasionally snubbed. This year's 2012 Golden Globes showed recognition to two talented African-American actors. Octavia Spencer received Best Performance by an Actress In A Supporting Role for her portrayal as "Minny" in the nominated Best Picture "The Help". This film divulged in African-American maids viewpoint on the repititive mistreat, while toiling in Caucasian households of the 1960s. Everyone in the building just knew Viola Davis had Best Actress in the bag, including Meryl Streep who won abruptly. She filched the category twice due to her commendable labor and 15 nominations, others sharing the same category each occurrence, panicked.
Still, Idris Elba nabbed the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Mini-series or Motion Picture Made for Television for "Luther". Lastly, Morgan Freeman was honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award of the night which brought the whole audience to a standing ovation as he thanked his fellow friends/actors Sidney Portier and Helen Mirren. The Academy Awards are scheduled to close the award season mid-February and hopefully, my craving is for new worthy greenhorns to be honored, is noshed.

Set Fire to the Rain.

Adele. I can intervene for her, when I say her name alone holds a great deal of stability and relevance in the music industry. The singer’s raspy-angelic tone is pure perfection and she voiced the heartbreak and vulnerability from a previous relationship on her latest LP, 21. Not much promotion was put forth in order to support the sales, besides a simple yet effortless performance given at last year’s VMA’s. Ironically, this remarkable body of work sold over a staggering 10 million copies worldwide, making this the top-selling album of 2011 and currently dominating that top spot on Billboard’s 100 Albums.

Unfortunately, the songbird had to undergo surgery due to the lick of a cigarette. This caused Adele to nullify the scored sold out shows, leaving fans disappointed. She is permitted to not perform or record for another year or so, offering the singer time to rehabilitate that voice. Very sadden to see someone so benign, beautiful, and talented squander her gift for the faults of an ominous tendency. I am going to cross my T's, dot my I's, and have a yen Adele can redeem, utilize with the cleft to fund us fresh notable material.

Center Spencer Hawes had to sit out his third game for the sake of his Achilles’ injure and Nikola Vucevic stood in his position with 9 rebounds, consequently hurting his left knee halfway through third quarter. He finished with 13 points, whereas Elton Brand scored 12 points and Holiday had 10 for the 76ers. The Heat wore their third uniformshowing admiration to the 1971-72 Miami Floridians. The Welcoming of Blue Ivy Carter...

January 7, 2012 was a special day for power couple, singer/actress Beyonce Knowles and rapper/business mogul Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter as they welcomed their first child, Blue Ivy Carter. The news sparked headlines everywhere. Little does “Princess Carter” know that she has been a trending topic since last year at the MTV Video Music Awards, when Beyonce first publicly announced the pregnancy. Late, Saturday of the birth sent Twitter in a chaotic frenzy with speculations and garbled the definite moniker provided to their child. Thus, Internet theories are pretty credible as far as the naming of the newborn. Blue – the baby’s first name may have come from being Jay-Z’s favorite hue and his compilation of Blueprint albums. Ivy - references from the Roman numeral “IV”, representing the number four. “4” holds significance to the pair being that Beyonce’s birthday is Sept. 4, while Jay-Z’s is Dec 4. Additionally, they married April 4th of 2008. No statement has been released from the duo clarifying any truth to those feasible allegations, but it's essential Blue Ivy Carter is healthy and surrounded by love. Awaiting a glimpse of Blue Ivy, despite how covert the twosome are, according to Auntie Solange she is “the most beautiful girl in the world”. Recently, Jay released a song dedicated to their bundle of joy entitled “Glory”; sealing the song with a sound of the baby’s cry.
Congrats!

Commemoration of NYE

Just before Thanksgiving, the five of us photographed above were lounging one sunset, watching DVDs and suddenly designed a format of escaping our kitschy hometown to bring in the New Years in Washington DC, without “assurance” of the plans even falling through. We knew it was our last time together, upon dismantling for the 2012 spring semesters. Luckily, everything went correspondingly. Exquisite evenings drenching in our best clothing, relentless partying in the hottest metropolitan clubs, and unforgettable “knee-slapping” laughs constitute a portion of the perfect getaway. Moreover, during our stay we visited the Martin Luther King monument and read invigorating quotes from the gifted Civil Rights Leader. The trip was nothing short of A M A Z I N G!!!! My friends can vouch for me, when I say the next jaunt (in the works) is already taunting us…
